Hello! It has been a long time since we spoke. Almost 10 years! Isn't that crazy?! After a season of rest I am back and exciting things are happening here behind the scenes.

Since we last spoke I have started our Instagram Page @SteelnStitches. While still in its infancy do follow and be on the look out for some fun posts.

Our Tiktok has started as well and while I'll admit I am a little intimidated by it I am also having fun learning my way around the app.

This week I have been taking part in The Crochet Business Summit Hosted by Crochetpreneur | Pam Grice. Let me just say the amount of knowledge and insight these presenters have is INCREADABLE! They are such a lovely and helpful group and I look forward to sharing with you all the things I have and will learn this week.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and if you are not already a follower of ours feel free to hit those buttons so you can see what we have instore for you.

New Stylus sizes!!

Well another week and lots of new and exciting things happening and being created.  If you are a fan of our stylus but think it's a little to big or to small then fear not. Arriving at the shop in the next day or so, we have 2 new sizes.  Our new stylus' come in 3 finishes; chrome, gold, or gun metal.

As always they feature the natural or dyed wood of your liking or any of our almost endless supply of acrylics.  The new long stylus measures almost 5 inches long and features a handy pocket clip and replaceable tip.  Our new shorter "stubby" stylus has all the same features and amenities as the original but at about half the length.  Also we're switching the original stylus to the new replaceable tip as well so you never have to worry again, see the site later this week for more details.

Elizabeth is gearing up for the craft fair in November as well as rolling out all those fall and winter styles we know and love.  Stay tuned for more great things from her and what she's cooking up.  Do I smell new scarves coming??

As always the shop is located on the web at steel n stitches check it out today.
Can't find something you think we can make up for you email us at steelnstitches@gmail.com and we'd be happy to help.

Pastel Ripple Blanket

I sent out another of my Pastel Ripple Blanket last week. I must say I really love this blanket. Not only is it so sweet but it is supper soft. This blanket is both warm yet very light. I also love the versatility of being able to use it to cover a delicate little new addition in his or her crib or over a car seat. As a mom i never wanted a blanket that was to heavy but I wanted it soft and warm. I am thrilled that is exactly how this blanket turned out. This blanket also turned out to be the perfect lapghan. Whether for a wheel chair or on the couch watching tv or watching the sun rise with a warm cup of tea this blanket fits your every need.

I am looking forward to my next project with this style and yarn. I will be creating a car seat blanket with holes for the seat belt. Check back and see how it turns out.

Newest Project

I was contacted Monday by someone I went to high school with and asked if make baby blankets. As you guys know I do even though it is quite a labor of love. This one is going to be about 48 hrs of work. I sent her photos of two of the styles I make. She loved them and ordered one for her newest addition that is on her way soon. After going back and forth we decided on a pattern and colors. Here are photos of the beginning of it. I will post more photos once it is complete.

Update: Ok I promised to add more photos once it was done at long last here they are...
